Lufthansa pilots have voted to go on strike next week. It’s not simply about more dough – like the last time. Pilots are afraid of their secure and well paid jobs at Lufthansa due to the carrier’s recent acquisition of foreign competitors which Lufthansa is increasingly relying on. More than 4,000 Lufthansa pilots will be on strike from Monday, February 22 to Thursday, February 25. If you booked any flights with Lufthansa within the four day strike period, you might better be taking a good book to the terminal while you’re grounded and waiting for a replacement flight – if you get one at all. I rescheduled my trips next week to March and booked with Air Berlin for next week already. If you still have a chance, you should do the same.
